Founded in October 1988 by Mosholu Preservation Corporation (MPC), a not-for-profit affiliate of Montefiore Medical Center, the Norwood News is a bi-weekly newspaper that primarily serves the Northwest Bronx neighborhoods of Norwood, Bedford Park, Fordham and University Heights. Through the production of the Norwood News, MPC keeps the surrounding community informed about issues that affect them and their neighborhoods and encourages civic participation.
