Internship Opportunities
Mosholu Preservation Corporation offers internship opportunities working under the joint supervision of the Community Relations Specialists that oversee four different commercial corridors. Responsibilities of an internship include, but are not limited to:

Outreach/Communication/Event Planning and Production

Assist + implement outreach strategies that engage community groups, individuals, merchants, and other nonprofit organizations

Assist with website updates, flyers, and other outreach material design and dispersal

Assist with creating media releases, ads, and sending them to the appropriate area publications

Help at any upcoming tabling events and serve as a representative of MPC at fairs, festivals and other community events

Assist with volunteer and partner communications via email

Candidates must possess strong verbal and written communication skills; as well as an active interest in the latest marketing and social media strategies for nonprofit organizations; the ability to work in a fast paced environment with a team or independently (proficiency in Spanish is a plus). Interns will gain experience with creating print and digital ads, event planning, community outreach and will undoubtedly walk away from the experience with a deeper knowledge of the nonprofit world. This internship offers exposure to strategic communications in addition to in person and media outreach.
